Do you need a special key to open my Crash Baggage lock?

A TSA is a combination device. The TSA can only be opened using a key held by airport agents in the USA and Canada. If your suitcase has a TSA padlock and the airport authorities decide to open it to check its contents, they can do so without breaking the lock.

What should I do if my Crash Baggage is damaged during a trip?

Unfortunately, when you are a frequent traveler, it happens! The legal warranty only covers manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage resulting from improper use. Incidental and indirect damage attributable to third parties is not covered by the warranty. For more information on how to resolve damage caused by third parties (such as that caused by transport companies etc.), see here.

Are suitcases and accessories covered by the same warranty?

Every globally released Crash Baggage product is covered by a 2-year global warranty that begins from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid if you provide your receipt, invoice or digital order confirmation when filing a claim during your 2-year warranty period. The legal warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage resulting from improper use.

Furthermore, Crash Baggage offers a five-year warranty on the following accessories, based on the availability of spare parts:

  • Wheels
  • Handles
  • Trolley system
  • TSA lock (the Crash Baggage warranty does not cover forgotten combinations. It’s only for manufacturing defects).

What can you do if your trolley has been damaged by the airline company?

In the event that the carrier handles your luggage improperly or under heavy weight causing a breakage, you have to file your claim suddenly at the airport “baggage claim desk” (area for luggage collection). Airline companies are insured against damages to baggage.

How do I clean my Crash Baggage?

Are you sure you want to do this? Every new scratch on your suitcase represents a memory, and it would be a shame to remove them. This is the Crash Baggage philosophy.
But don’t worry, all our suitcases are made of 100% polycarbonate and you can clean them with simple ethyl alcohol. It’s up to you!
